CHILDCARE FIRST AID

Service Description

This course is for educators and support staff working within an education and/or care setting and who may be required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies. This course meets the requirement of First Aid, Asthma and Anaphlaxis training under the education care services national law and education care services national regulations (2011) and has been approved by ACECQA. This course is also for anyone working in childcare, family day care, pre-school, before and after school care services, and is beneficial for those working with young adults. This course takes 6 hours in class. Learners will complete the online component prior to coming to class face to face to complete the remainder of the assessment which includes extra theory and assessment of which they have already completed online plus practical training and assessment. Upon successful completion of this course, the following certificates will be issued: HLTAID012- Provide first aid in an education and care setting HLTAID011- Provide First Aid HLTAID010-Provide Basic Emergency Life Support HLTAID009- Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
